I Give Up.

Today has been one of those days when you had a list of things you intended to do but life intervened
and everything changed and in the end I gave in to fate and had a lovely time getting to know the delightful young lady who is moving in with my son.
So while the lasagne cooks and I wait for Mr T I thought I would show you my new acquisitions but of course as I write this he comes home early doesn't he.  That just about sums the day up.

Hi I'm back. Now where was I….
Oh Yes

One of the things I have signed up for recently is the blanket swap and I'm going to crochet loads of granny squares to send around to everyone else.  I had a look on revelry for patterns but decided in the end to treat myself to this book that I found on Amazon.

So now I have plenty of patterns to choose from

and other than a couple of basic books this is the first book on crochet that I have bought.

But books for me are like buses, they always seem  to come in twos

This one looks fab and I can't wait to have a go at some of these

But the squares come first, the only problem I have now is that I started doing 12 inch squares and all these patterns are for 6 in squares, so does that mean I have to send four to each person. Might have to find out?

Hope your day was more organised than mine.
I'll be back soon to show you the Giveaway I have won.

  1. Ooohh I could fancy that book!
You are cracking on nicely, I wasn't sure about the 6" vs 12" thing either.
I have had several days like your day today to take small comfort that it's not just you :0)

  2. I bought myself the very same book and from the same place. I have to say i was amazed at the amount of granny squares you can make. But i will have to sit down with mine and try and make sense of the words as im better at trying to copy the photo but with crochet i have learnt you can't very easily do that. Your squares are lovely. dee x

  5. Lovely books - very tempting! I too have started making the squares for the swap. I think it is one square of either size. I have crocheted both sizes. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's finished blankets.
    Best wishes, Pj x
