I have been meaning to show you these photos for a while as,
other than putting up a few black and white photos on the
stairs, my hallway is finished at last.
we started trying out colours and stripping wallpaper
in about November last year but due to family circumstances
things moved a lot slower than we hoped.
But
the new carpets are down and we have finished.
The fabric was a remnant I got for a song and I love it.
I fell in love with this wallpaper and decided that white was the
best colour to go for.
It looks so much lighter.
We had new carpet in our bedroom as well
With all the furniture out the room looks so big.
Only the lounge to do now but neither of us can face that at the moment.

ReplyDeleteOh that is looking so good. I love the fabric and the wall paper, and the carpet - actually I love it all. We are doing some renovating and it does take longer than you expect. It also seems to take more energy than we were prepared for.

Looks great. Our hall, staircase and landing need doing, but I'm dreading it, its such a major thoroughfare. Well done for completing in under a year, I'm sure ours will take a lot longer. Joy xx
ReplyDeleteLookin' good! We don't have wallpaper as the cottage walls are so uneven it would be a night mare. We have run the gamut of decorating fashions from chintzy to bright bazaar colours to much more 'pale and interesting' which it is now - you are right, white does bring the light in! Yes, give yourselves a bit of a rest, we have taken a year to get about the same amount done, there's always next year!
